Poppy Appeal

I am delighted to tell you that the recent Poppy Appeal raised a fantastic £154.68.

School Closure - Wednesday 30th November, 2011

The school will be closed due to strike action on Wednesday 30th November, 2011. This means that your child will not be able to attend school on this day.

The school will re-open on Thursday 1st December, 2011

Save our Rain Forest Appeal

Thank you for everyone's support with the Save our Rain Forest appeal. A successful event which will be repeated in December at the Christmas Fair where Christmas decorations made by children in Foundation Stage and Key Stage One will be on sale.

Anti-bullying Week - 14th November, 2011

The children were asked what they would like to do in response to Anti-bullying week. They suggested wearing something blue. So we have made Thursday our 'Wear something blue day' and we hope you will show your support by allowing your child to take part. Throughout the week all the children will be learning about how to tackle bullying by taking part in special assemblies. There will also be activities and lessons in the classroom designed to raise awareness. We will also be launching our child-friendly Anti-bullying Policy leaflet. This pocket-sized version was designed by the School Council.

Armistice Service and Parade - Sunday 13th November, 2011

The Chairman of the District Council and the Whitwick Branch of the Royal British Legion have invited parents and children of Belvoirdale to join in the Service of Remembrance on Sunday 13th November, at Christ Church, London Road, Coalville. The parade will leave Christ Church at 10.30 a.m. to arrive at the War Memorial, Coalville at 10.55 a.m. where a short service and wreath laying ceremony will take place. The parade then marches to the Council Offices for the Salute and dismissal.
