Sportsrelief Mile
Thank you to Mrs.Gill for organising the Sportsrelief Mile event at Belvoirdale. A grand total of 229.34 pounds was raised. Each class laid down loose change which went around the whole school! Tune into BBC1 tonight for more Sportsrelief entertainment. Alternatively go to www.sportrelief.com/the-mile for further information.

Family Drop in sessions
Suzanne Gregory will not be in school this coming Wednesday (24th March 2010). Many thanks to all parents who have attended the sessions this term. I hope you have found them useful. Suzanne will be back after the Easter holidays.

Dyslexia Drop In Sessions
For parents, carers and families affected by Dyslexia.
A drop in event will be taking place on Saturday 27th March 2007 at Wigston Library.

Well done to Joseph Pollard for achieving 2nd place, Dylon Green for 48th and Tyler Symons for 64th place in the County Cross Country race which took part last Saturday 13th March 2010.

Family Numeracy Programmes for parents of Year 5/6 children
The school is planning to run a family numeracy programme for 5 weeks during the summer term. This is a great opportunity for you to brush up on your maths skills and use this to support your own child's learning.
A letter will be sent home on Monday 15th March 2010.

Family Numeracy Programmes

Calling all parents of children in years 5 & 6

During the Summer Term we are planning to hold numeracy programmes in the early evening from 6pm to 7.45pm, it will run for approximately 5 weeks. It is hoped that these sessions will help you to brush up on your maths and feel more confident about supporting your child/children's learning.

On Tuesday 4th May 2010, there will be a Family Fun Maths session which will start at 6.30pm and end at 8.30pm. There will be a number of maths activities related to the football world cup which begins this summer. I look forward to seeing you all there.

County Cross Country Championships
Races are being held at Sykes Lane, near Whitwell, Rutland Water on Saturday 13th March, parking is at the Sykes Lane Car Park (signposted between Whitwell and Empingham) Parking is pay and display and will cost £2.00 per day.
We have 3 boys running in races. Starting times as follows:-
Year 3/4 boys 10.15 a.m.
Year 5 girls 10.30 a.m.
Year 5 boys 10.45 a.m.
Year 6 girls 11.00 a.m.
Year 6 boys 11.15 a.m.
Medals and tropies presented afterwards.

Suzanne Gregory is back!
Suzanne Gregory our family support worker will be running a drop in tea and coffee session this coming Wednesday 10th March 2010. Please pop along for a chat and any advice should you need it. We look forward to seeing you there :)
Cross Country - Belvoirdale come up trumps!
Well done to Joseph Pollard, Dylan Green and Tyler Symons who all did exceptionally well at Saturday's cross country meeting. They have been selected to represent the school at County Level this coming Saturday which is being held at Rutland Water.
Also very well done to the Y5 boys team who won a trophy for the best combined team score.
An excellent effort - well done to everyone who participated and thank you to all supporters.

Thank you all for Recycling Christmas Cards :)
A total of 4.78 tonnes of Christmas cards was collected by Leicestershire County Council raising over £250.00. All of the money raised from the sale of cards sent for recycling was donated to The Woodland Trust, the UK's leading woodland conservation charity.
