Ofsted - First Special Measures Inspection Report
You will be receiving a copy of the most recent First Special Measures inspection report which took place on 10th and 11th May 2011. The report was positive and concluded that the school is making satisfactory progress against all of the key issues that were identified in November 2010.

Foundation Stage Induction meeting for new starters
The meeting for parents of new starters for next year will be held on Tuesday 21st June at 6pm. It is an informal opportunity for parents to visit the Foundation Stage Unit and to meet with the teaching team. More details to follow.

Primary School Area Athletics competition - 14th June 2011
Mrs. Smith along with other members of staff (hopefully myself included) will be taking a group of Year 3/4 /5 & 6 children to Saffron Lane Athletics Arena for an inter-school athletics competition. The children will leave school at 11 a.m and return to school at approximately 6pm. Everyone is welcome so come along and cheer the children on. Miss Lenton :)

Opening of the Outdoor Pool at Hood Park Leisure Centre, Ashby

With Summer only just around the corner, this can only mean one thing, the outdoor pool at Hood Park Leisure Centre is set to open. This year, the pool will open to the public on Saturday 28th May at 11 a.m. with a poolside BBQ available from 12 noon. Admission that day will be £1 all day for everyone.

Open session for parents - reading
On Wednesday 25th May 2011, we are holding an open session for parents 2.45pm - 3.15pm. Please come along and enjoy the opportunity to share a book or two with your child.
