Cross Country
The last cross country session will be on 3rd December 2009 and will recommence on Wednesday 20th January 2010. The race at Western Park, Leicester, will be held on Saturday 5th December 2009, start time: 10 a.m.
Football club with Miss Jones
The last football session for this term will be on Monday 23rd November 2009 and recommence on 18th January 2010.
Dance Festival - Diary date
Miss Mann's class are to attend a Dance festival at Ivanhoe College, North Street, Ashby from 3.30pm until 5.30pm on Tuesday 1st December 2009.

Disco Divas and Dancing Kings dance the night away
Well done to the children in Year 5 who put on a dazzling dance performance at the Sparks in the Dark Drama and Dance Festival on Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th November 2009 which was held at King Edward VII College in Coalville. Many thanks to all the parents who supported and attended either performance. Many thanks must also go to Mr. Mason, Ms Miles and Ms Platts for their hardwork in putting together the dance routines that were enjoyed by many.

Two Cross Country medals for Belvoirdale!


Well done to Joseph Pollard and Thomas Winfield for gaining two first places during the Cross Country event held at Appleby Magna on Saturday 14th November 2009. A excellent effort -well done to you both.
The remaining children that took part in the race, were all placed in the top twenty.
A great day for Belvoirdale - thank you to the children for their efforts and for the spectators who went along and gave their support :)


Children in Need and Anti-Bullying Week- week beginning 16th November 2009
This year at Belvoirdale we are going to have a 'Healthy Lifestyles' activity afternoon on Thursday 19th November 2009 in aid of Children in Need. The children will take part in a variety of activities related to keeping healthy, so they can come along in non-uniform, wear face paint and colour their hair all shades of the rainbow if they so wish! Anti-Bullying Week - week beginning 16th November 2009
This year the focus is on cyber bullying. Throughout the week, the children will be taking part in lessons that will give them information so that they can make informed choices regarding cyber bullying. On Friday 20th November 2009, the Donington Le Heath Theatre Company are going to present a whole school assembly which focuses on addressing issues regarding bullying. They will also be working with Y6 children on a play entitled 'A Tudor Witch Hunt'.

Karate Club
A reminder that Karate Club is running on Friday's after school at. 3.15pm.
We will remember them.....
On Wednesday 11th November 2009, children from years 1 and 2 will be walking down to the War Memorial in Coalville to join in a 2 minute silence at 10.55 a.m. in remembrance of all those people who sacrificed their lives in conflict of war. There will be the Army and Air Cadets at the War Memorial. After the 2 minutes silence they will march to the Council Offices for the Salute and dismissal.

It is hoped that by providing such a varied performance timetable that a great deal of you will be able to attend.

You will receive further information regarding the theme for the Christmas production as well as ticket allocation. This information will be in the form of a letter from the keystage one team.

NHS Community Services at Coalville Library
Throughout the day on Wednesday 11th November 2009 10.00am - 5.00pm there will be a range of Health and Wellbeing Services available for advice. There will be blood pressure checks run by NWLDC, mini massages and manicure treatments from Stephensons College and information and support to promote baby massage and healthy eating from the Children's Centres. There's even opportunities to win Morrisons vouchers and food hamper. :)

On Monday 2nd November 2009, Belvoirdale football team put in a strong effort against Packington Football team in the Rosebowl Tournament for year 4/5 children. The final score was Belvoirdale nil (0) Packington 2. A magnificent effort by all.

An overall 5th for both Sophie Winfield and Charlotte Tymm in the team competitions. Sophie did very well in the floor routine and Charlotte did very well on the bars.
