Easter Bingo

Easter is fast approaching and this year Friends and Families are planning two events to celebrate Easter. The first will be our Easter Bingo, a great night out for all the family. This will take place on Tuesday 12th April. Doors will open at 6 p.m. Eyes down at 6.30 p.m. Entrance will be 50p per family. There will be refreshments available and also a raffle. On Friday 15th April, we will be holding an Easter Bonnet Parade. This will take place at lunchtime and be judged by Friends and Families. There will be one winner per class. Bonnets should be made/decorated at home and children should bring them into school for the day.

Girls Football at Newbridge High School

Year 4, 5 and 6 girls are invited to attend the girls football sessions being held at Newbridge High School in the Sports Hall. The sessions will be held on Monday 28th March, Monday 4th April and Monday 11th April, 2011 from 3.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.

The sessions are FREE with a qualified coach.

No need to book in advance - just turn up and enjoy the sessions.

Comic Relief

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our fundraising event for Comic Relief. A fantastic £288 was raised on the day.

Family Learning Wise Owls Club
Hazel McDowell is offering a club which starts Wednesday 23rd March 2011 9.15 - 11.15a.m. for parents of children in reception. There will be 10 sessions consisting of 1 1/2 hours of parents and tutor, 1/2 parents and children. The focus for the club will be Speaking and Listening, Phonics and sharing books.
Please call into the office if you are interested in booking a place. We will be pleased to see you.

Cross Country Results

A fantastic effort was made in the recent Cross Country race by Cameron Goodman, Thomas Pollard, Demi Smith and Joseph Pollard.

Joseph and Thomas did exceptionally well coming first and third respectively. This means that they will now go on to represent Belvoirdale School in the County finals. Well done.

Red Nose Day - Friday 18th March, 2011

Belvoirdale Friends and Families Group will be supporting Comic Relief by having a pyjama day in school on Friday 18th March, 2011. So get your fancy PJ's on and bring your teddy to school. All we ask is a donation to Comic Relief. Thank you for your support
