Design and Technology K'Nex Challenge
The Young Engineers for Britain are running a National Competition which is being delivered through Loughborough University. This year's challenge requires the children to design a windmill and then build a model of their design using K'Nex. This has been booked for year 5 and 6 on 7th and 8th June 2010.
Bank Holiday
Just a reminder that the school will be closed on Monday 3rd of May 2010 and will reopen on Tuesday 4th May 2010.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS :)
Year 3/4 trip to Donnington Le Heath and Bosworth Battlefield

The day will start with the morning at Bosworth Battlefield being guided around the field by an historian telling the children about Tudor Times.

The afternoon consists of the children taking part in 2 workshops:-
  • Working in the kitchens as a Tudor servant making Tudor recipes
  • Experiencing a Tudor classroom and how to write in the Tudor fonts.

Also, the children will be able to look round the Manor House, play with Tudor Toys and dress up in Tudor clothes.

The activities will be done in two separate sessions and will be transported to and from each venue during the day.

It will be a marvellous day filled with fun, enjoyment and learning.

World of work talks in Y6 (week beginning 19th April 2010)
Last week a number of parents visited Mrs. Moores' class to talk about their jobs. From speaking to the children and Mrs. Moores it seems that the children found it very interesting and informative. There are more visits planned for later on in the summer term. Please may I thank the parents for their support. Miss Lenton :)
