Open Maths Session - Tuesday 8th February 2011
Many thanks to all parents that were able to come along and join in maths activities between 9-10 a.m. on Tuesday morning. I hope that you enjoyed being involved in activities which help to develop children's understanding of multiplication, division, addition and subtraction.
We are planning to have a further open session for parents during Spring 2 covering Maths and Literacy.
If you have any ideas regarding how to make the open sessions better then please use the suggestions box in the main reception area or feedback to your child's class teacher.

Singing Club
After half term singing club will recommence on Monday 14th March 2011. It is hoped that the singing club will take part in the Coalville Festival of Music which is due to take place on Saturday 7th May 2011 at Newbridge High School. The children are busy practising songs 'You've got a friend in me' and 'Reach'. Should the children be awarded enough points from the Coalville Festival of Music they will go through to the Coalville Festival Concert on Friday 20th May 2011.

Arts and Craft opportunity for families
Suzanne Ward our family support worker has organised a 6 weekly arts & crafts workshop week beginning: 28th February 2011 3.30pm until 5pm.

Coalville Library visit
Children in KS1 will be visiting Coalville library on Monday 14th Feb ruary 2011 as part of our topic 'Around the world in 80 days'. Children will be given the opportunity to have a formal guide by a Librarian and then explore a variety of books
Cross Country events
The final cross country running event of the year is taking place at Measham C of E Primary school, Bosworth Road, Measham. The first race of the day starts at 10 a.m. children will need to arrive by 9.45 a.m. Parking is available at Measham C of E school, St. Charles R.C. Primary School and there is also parking available in the main village car park on Peggs Close.
The final cross country event is the area qualifier for the county championships to be held at Mallory Park Race Circuit on Saturday 2nd April 2011.
